Sometimes, fans are nice.

There's pressure and performance and there's everything that he'd once had to do but there'd also always been some people who were just delighted to see him or meet him and had wanted to say or do something kind.

Nice had never been the overwhelming experience he'd had in the Capitol, so it had stuck out when he'd had the chance to interact with more normal -- what passed for normal there at least -- people instead of the ones he'd had to deal with all the time, the top people.

So far, people here have been more like the ordinary fans. But nothing he's seen so far has come close to what Annie explains to him: the group of people leaving a gift for her, with a consideration he'd rarely experienced from fans. They'd known she was shy and hadn't wanted to make her uncomfortable.

Finnick lets out a delighted laugh when he sees what they'd given her. The little figures have captured the right shade of green for Finnick's eyes, and the darker, deeper color of Annie's. The eyes are too big, but that's cute. Stylized, but definitely recognizable.

"That's really sweet. You've got fans."
