Peter had been pointedly avoiding anything that looked fun, like the beach and the waterpark, because up until now he'd just wanted to be alone and grumpy about everything. Buuuut now he gets to watch a guy do cool tricks with his weapon-pets and whatever Peter had been grumpy about it out the window. Yes yes yes this sounds like an awesome idea and he can't wait to see this shit.
