Jacob is expecting that to be the start of a refusal. So when Charles takes his hand and pulls him forward, he's delighted. He can dance. Ethan had seen to it his children could do everything well accomplished members of society could do, never mind the benefits of balance, coordination and timing.

But that sort of dancing was rarely fun and thus Jacob avoided it. But this? He was certain it was going to be fine.
