He's been lurking quietly around the lower levels on and off since those Things appeared. Maybe she noticed the man in the tannish hoodie and black mask (with a red :( on it) near by but he hasn't done anything to try and interact with her. Just watch, though mostly watch the hallways and the monsters than the people (which may be hard to tell with out his face showing).

That is until she tries to cut the beast and it just makes another, smaller beast. It was surprising enough, and close enough to him, that he reacts. He takes a rock stale muffin out of his mailbag and thows it at the smaller creature. The intent is to distract it, but instead he nails it in the head and just brings attention to himself.
