Charles won't ever have to tell him, thankfully. Perhaps not as gracious is the fact that Kieran already has some idea--he knows he's dead. He knows the Van der Linde gang never came for him, although he knows that at least one or two of them grieved. He doesn't know the extent the O'Driscolls went in announcing his death to the Van der Linde gang, and that is a mercy in itself.

Kieran draws his knees into his chest and wraps his arms around his legs. Surprisingly, he's not exactly disappointed to hear that Charles is the only one to have shown up. If anything, he's grateful to have even one person from back home appear, and someone who never actively tried to hurt him, at that. When combined with the peaceful atmosphere and the invitation to actually spend some time together, it's practically a miracle.

He grins.

"W-Well, I'm glad yer here! If you got any questions, I-I can try to answer 'em!"

And by that, he means he can actually be useful for once.
