Ratonhnhaké:ton has only just started learning how to live for himself. All this time he has lived for his mother and everyone else who lost their lives that day, and for the people who were still alive that he wanted to keep alive. He doesn't think that was wrong or bad. But it is strange, to take steps away from that and do things he wants to do and allow himself to have things he wouldn't have a few years ago.
