He nods, because the analogy does make sense. He prefers sailing, but he's spent more than enough time on and around fishing boats with old, old engines that he knows exactly the coughing and shuddering that Shepard means. He hadn't thought about it that way before, because he knows so little about computers and these types of machines. He knows his way around a boat, but there are no computers or anything computerized in District Four, not for the district folk to know or use.
