She remembers what came before it - chaos at the convention, a hulking Crude Ogre in ragged clown motley, dangling her by her wrist, and James pummelling it with a boombox - but it's blurred around the edges, the pain and fear she felt dulled by time and the sap haze. At the hospital, they had to give her painkillers to set the bone, and she really doesn't remember much about that evening - but she does remember the next day, when she found all the texts she sent during it.
God, that was embarrassing. Why did they let her keep her phone? But in hindsight, it just makes her laugh. "Yeah, that's two strikes," she says. "Time for rehab, officer, I'm basically a junkie now."
